Well, I am taking on some jobs for October, so Collin is my little poser. He is a good sport and when he's done he tell's me, "mom you get 2 more shots -k-"!

The boys in B & W, my Fav.

I thought I would share my boys in b&w today. Hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday. Collin is making a bunny rabbit face if you were wondering. Cammy just had his first grilled cheese sandwich and Cooie stopped long enough to give me a smile.

A Davis family portrait......or as close as we could get!

Collin started school today and he seemed happy to be back in class. I on the other hand stress too much and the morning was not smooth at all. Collin's teacher had us send an encouraging note with a family picture. I searched and had nothing with all of us in it, so we set up the tri-pod last night. This photo is not good in comp. and I certainly had a tough time getting certain subjects to cooperate. But, here it is, the Davis clan!

Cameron and testing

As I mentioned in a previous post, Cameron is being tested to make sure his AFP levels are ok. He had the first blood draw and it was at level #8. Children's hospital apparently goes up to #12 as normal. I believe, although it has not been said by the ped. that he is just being extra cautious because the #'s conflict with what he was told vs. what Children's goes by. It does make me feel good that Children's thinks this a normal level and also that Cameron's ped is so on top of things. We went in for an ultrasound and have not heard back from the ped. about the results. Aside from me yelling at the ultrasound tech, Cameron did pretty well with this ultrasound. Tomorrow we go in for a repeat blood draw to see if the AFP level has changed. So, I hope that level is either lower or the same. If it indicates an increase it's more testing for my poor little man. He will turn "1" on Wednesday so I hope we celebrate with good news. My heart tells me he is ok! I have gotten a little used to the idea of him having this disorder, so it's not as scary to me anymore. When the Dr. calls your house however, it's tummy ache city. Will update when I know anything else.

Playing around!

Just playing around with selective color. I am not a big fan of it myself, but people are crazy about it. I really don't care for it when people choose to color the eyes and leave the face b&w, giving this creepy unnatural look. I am sure I will have a request or two for it so I thought I would practice on my new program. I am finally able to play around in CS3 and I also converted to RAW. Fun, fun, fun!

Pictures:
~Cameron is turning "1" in a few short days. I can't get him to stay in one spot long enough. I really have some fun ideas if he would just cooperate. This is the only shot that doesn't show motion blur from a really fast toddler.

Cameron's AFP results

Update on Cameron's AFP blood draw. This was the first of many blood draws (will have these every 6-8 weeks until age 12). The level was 8, and according to the Dr. it was high. However, they don't have enough data to decide if this is truly high. He was in touch with Children's hospital and they go to 12, so anything below 12 is considered normal. The Dr. is not satisfied so we are having an ultrasound tomorrow to make sure there are no masses on his liver. In addition he will have another blood draw and they will send this one off to Children's or I will need to drive to Seattle, he has not decided.

Otherwise, Cameron has started walking and is the sunshine of the Davis house these days. He is just a WONDERFUL child.

Connor turned 3!

Cooie had the "frog" party he wanted so badly. It was 102 degrees outside and when the party started at noon, everyone had red faces. The kids still jumped in the big buzz light year bouncer and had tons of fun doing that. Cooie opened his gifts and was and still is excited about all the wonderful presents. The froggy pinata never was knocked down, but he is hanging from our fireplace wall now. Anytime mommy needs a candy it's available. We had a our good friends from Spokane join us, Janelle, Caleb and Emily! It was so nice of you to make the trip "again" Janelle! We can't wait for apple picking next month. Thank you to everyone that made Cooies birthday special. He loves you all, even if he growls at you from time to time!

11 Month old Cammy Poo

Can you believe Cameron is 11 Months old in a few days! This summer has really gone by so fast and September 3rd we will be celebrating his 1st Birthday. Cameron is very close to walking and you can't keep him down. In fact, posing for pictures is somewhat impossible. Since I need to work so fast and I have no one to catch him if he falls I need to be ready to catch him. That's why you will see chopped limbs....but I don't want to miss shots because they are not perfect.

The pics: The 1st one captured Cameron falling over in the basket. The 2ND he decided to trash my backdrop. The 3rd and 4TH I did manage to get a few of him in the basket, until he fell over! The last one I tried a chair and caught this goofy grin. I thought I would share it to show is new top tooth and the other one is making an appearance as well. So now, he has 4 teeth.
Well, you can't blame a mama for trying! At least he was happy right!

Childrens Hospital visit

Cameron and I left the house this morning at 4:45am and arrived at Children's just in time for his appointment. The Genetic Physician was very sweet and she loved Cameron, despite the crying. He was having a tough time. I think the combination of the long drive, teething and a cough was too much for him.

The Doctor did measurements and his left arm still seems to be the most prominent bulk. She does not think he has BWS or any other Syndrome. It's looking like isolated hemi. This still means the 4 month tummy ultrasounds and the 6-8 week afp blood testing. The blood tests will be done until he is around 4 years old and they will stop the ultrasounds at about age 12. So, it's going to be a routine for us. Apparently there is a blur between Hemi and BWS that means the screening needs to be the same even if it appears isolated. Better safe than sorry. If they did find cancer, early detection is key. That's why the afp is so frequent, it's pretty progressive.

Cameron should lead a very normal life and he will get used to the tests. I just need to monitor him a little closer compared to the older boys but that's about it.

Cammy Poo on my new rug!

I found a great rug for a great price and had to take some shots. Cameron is teething and would not sit still. It is so hard to get him to pose for me and I hope that changes soon. I need more happy Cameron pictures. But here they are so you can see the rug. Do you like the brown with blue backdrop? I think this rug will come in handy for newborn shoots.

The Latest in the Davis house...

The latest news in the Davis house:

Collin and Connor have been playing soccer, I should say Collin has been. Cooie will make an attempt every so often. I am happy it is coming to an end, only because it's tons of work for mommy. Next time we will do soccer in the fall. I think the more Collin does it the more he enjoys it.

Uncle Collier is staying with us and the boys are enjoying his company.

Tuesday is Cameron's genetic appointment, it's at 8am in Seattle!! His ultrasound came back with nothing to report. So, my little Cammy is just pluggin along with some extra chunk on his left arm and I couldn't love that arm anymore! He is getting bored of baby food and tried toast the other day. He loved it! I gave him some raviolis but he enjoyed squishing them more and wanted no part in actually putting them in his mouth.

Cooies party plans are set and invites should reach the family soon! For all my family living hours away, we would love to see you! Since it is so far, we certainly don't expect you to make the long trip. We will see you all for the wedding and I am very excited for that.

The pics:

Collin is my sweety and will always give me a smile, and goofy grin or just look my general direction. Most often he will make a silly face and that is what I captured here.

Collier & Collin kicking the ball around the day after Uncle arrived. The boys could not believe how high uncle kicked the ball in the air.
