There's a nummy in my party!

There's a nummy in my party! (Cameron's words after taking a bite of his raisin toast.)
Translation: There's a party in my tummy.

Cameron is growing up and certainly talking up a storm. In the waiting room of the doctor office, Cameron pointed to the man behind us and said "Mommy, is that a monster?" I turned to see what he was looking at and it was a very tall bearded man. He sorta resembled Herman Munster but with long shaggy gray hair. I quickly scanned the room and noticed a dinosaur on the wall and said " NO Cammy, that's a dinosaur." A few minutes later he pointed to a bald man and said "is that a baby?" This man laughed and I was afraid to stay any longer. He does not mean any harm. He will see men while out and about and even if they look nothing like daddy, he will ask "is that daddy." Either he's really curious about people or really confused!

Can you keep me safe?

For some reason the Baby einstein videos have provided hours of entertainment to the kids since Collin was a baby. In some of the videos the puppets will enter the the screen "in a peek-a-boo" fashion. The music gets loud and always startles me. It has scared each child from Collin at 1 to 2 years old, Connor the same and now Cameron at age 2. He really wants to watch these movies, but knows that if he does he will be scared. Cameron will ask to watch the show but recently he asked me to sit with him and keep him safe. I went to the other room to do my hair. I could see him watching the show from where I stood. He had his blankie over his eyes. When I asked him what was wrong he looked at me with worried eyes and asked if I could hold him! How funny is it that he wants to subject himself to that.

We recently had some little friends over for a day. I had 6 boys to care for (ages 1, 2, 3, 4, and two 6 year olds). While getting all the kids settled on a project or toy, Collins 6 year old buddy turns to me and says "there's a lot of drama in this house". I cracked up. I wasn't sure if it was due to the "6" children in the house or if it was just so different from his house. Yes, DRAMA. That is one word to describe my days. Here are some other words to describe my days: loud, dirty, soap, coffee, diapers, crumbs, fruity snacks, blankie, cereal, peanut butter, milk, grocery store, poop, apple juice, diapers, poop, weiner and no.

Home away from home!

We took the older boys to the Seattle Center for a day of fun! The weather was perfect and the boys were in heaven. It was nice to get out of Yakima for the day and just enjoy the surroundings. Seattle makes me happy!
